Shent
Yes, blog has been moribund, but then, so have I. Too damned cold to do a damned thing and all I've managed for weeks is to dig stuff and shove in some garlic and onions. Spuds have been destroyed by slugs and frost has probably killed off what's left.
On the upside the halfashed is now temporarily roofed with a tarpaulin and some milk bottles filled with stagnant water from the elderly water butts. So now it's half shed, half tent. A shent, if you will.

I like the idea of a shent - I reckon my proto-plot is half pond, half plot and therefore a plond.
I know exactly how you feel. But don't fret, before you know it you can be back out there, getting stuck in for another season. And I am still relishing the potatoes, onions and shallots from store, and pumpkins ... there is a silver lining!
Hi Bupster, just wondering if you can drop me an email as I have an allotment blog related question for you and I can't see your email address anywhere. My email's jane.perrone@gmail.com.
Many thanks
